Placenta Non Previa!

The placenta's out of the way. No problems anticipated with a vaginal delivery. Baby's measuring 32 weeks 1 day (plus or minus seventeen days) which is pretty much spot on. He had a very full bladder and was resting with his face smashed up against the placenta.

I guess with this kind of news I can deal with the onslaught of relatives inviting themselves for the holidays.

And yes, you're all quite right. My sister's earned herself a gold star, hasn't she? I didn't mention this, but she also bakes the best brownies in the world, and when she does come to stay, she strips down her bed afterwards, puts the dirty sheets and towels in the washing machine, and turns it on before she goes.

Maybe she gets two gold stars.

I have to say....um....xmas dinner whilst term? You're family must have it in for you.

Congrats on the upwardly mobile placenta.

I dare you to go into labour before anything's remotely ready and leave them to sort themselves out!

Geohde has a great idea. Labor instead of labor. One you have to do yourself, but the other you can hand off to others.

Now I'm REALLY into your sister. (The brownies, not the laundry.)

I heart your sister very much for making things easier on you. I hope that your family doesn't let you do anything except bask in the glory of being 36 weeks pregnant while they feed you peeled grapes and brownies.

Hooray for a moving placenta!

That is a very considerate sister. This is sort of the post that his siblings should never read in the future or they'll call him placenta-face :-) I'm glad it's out of the way and you can have the vaginal birth.

If you were lucky your MIL would be like mine and and have a desperate need to be busy, resulting in her cooking everything, doing all your laundry, and scrubbing your house until you can eat Christmas dinner off the floor...

Yea for correctly-positioned placentas!

I hate to say this, but i was vaguely hoping you'd have to have a c-section, just so your family would finally get the hint and bugger off. It's so tricky with in-laws, isn't it? I love to have my mum around, and my MIL is sweet but it's just not restful having her around. But it's good news re the placenta and how well he's growing. And yes, a definite gold star for your sister!
